1.) Please note that the recent edition of the German keyboard standard DIN 2137 specifies a keyboard layout "E1" which, besides other characters needed for European languages and other purposes, contains all common Egyptological transcription characters.

See in the German Wikipedia: "Ägyptische Hieroglyphen", section "Darstellung von Transkriptionszeichen auf Computersystemen" and "E1 (Tastaturbelegung)", especially the section "Eingabe diverser Sonderbuchstaben und sprachwissenschaftlicher Sonderzeichen".

2.) Please note that the code points for the angle brackets 〈 U+2329 and 〉 U+232A are wrong, as they are deprecated in the Unicode standard. The correct code points are U+27E8 and U+27E9.
